NO. We do not disclose to any third party information you provide
and that we gather unless required to do by legal process.
Confidentiality
eScribe agrees and undertakes to:
- To treat all material of the Client contained upon a Digital
File or in Writing supplied by the Client as confidential and
will not be disclosed to any other party;
- Sign relevant documentation requested by the Client;
- Obtain from all eScribers who carry out eScribe’s Services
a term imposing upon them an undertaking of confidentiality which
reflects this term.
Data Security
- eScribe employs the utmost in data and document protection
including Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Apache Directory Protection
(Basic Authentication) and Username and Password Protected Client
Accounts. All data transmissions are encrypted using the same
128 bit protection.
- eScribe technology uses highly secured, firewalled servers.
Users have their own individual passwords and can only access
their own files via File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
- All audio files are uploaded to eScribe’s Server transmitted
via eScribe’s FTP set up. FTP is a password controlled file
transfer which is a secure method to transfer files to and from
eScribe’s web site, eliminating common issues experienced
with emailing large file attachments and viruses.
Retention of Data
- For Single Speaker Dictation:
- All Digital Files are deleted from eScribe’s systems
once transcribing has been completed.
- Completed work is kept in Client’s passworded folder
for the duration of retaining eScribe’s Services or
if requested by the Client in Writing, the immediate deletion
of any relevant completed work.
- For Multi Voice Recordings:
- All Digital Files are deleted from eScribe’s systems
upon payment of tax invoice for the relevant Digital File.
- All completed transcripts are deleted from eScribe’s
systems upon payment of tax invoice for the relevant Digital
File.
Delaying Events Outside eScribe’s
Control
eScribe shall incur no liability to the Client in respect of any
circumstance(s) or event(s) outside the control of eScribe including
but not limited to:
- internet failures
- computer equipment failures
- telecommunication equipment failures
- interruption of any utility services
- computer viruses of any kind
- computer software failures
- computer hardware failures
- acts of nature
all of which are called “Delaying Events”;
To the extent, notwithstanding the occurrence of such Delaying
Events, eScribe’s Services are able to be performed within
an extended time, taking into account any delay thereby caused,
eScribe shall have further time in which to provide its services
taking into account the time of such delay; and
To the extent the occurrence of such Delaying Events makes the
performance of eScribe’s Services impossible or of no use
to the Client, the Client will be notified immediately and in such
case eScribe shall have no liability of whatever nature to the Client.
Promotional Material
- Provided the Client agrees to receive promotional material
from eScribe, as provided in the Registration, eScribe may, from
time to time, send promotional material to the Client.
- In the event the Client either declines to accept promotional
material or later requests such promotional material to cease
being sent, eScribe shall immediately cease to forward any future
promotional material.
